First Day of School Cupcakes

How adorable are these frog cupcakes!?

My mom is a Pre-K teacher and this year’s theme is all about frogs.

I have to say, I’m proud of my mom for pulling off over 60 cupcakes decorated like this!! They are so easy to make and do not require many ingredients.

You will need:

Cupcakes

Light green icing

Chocolate icing

Marshmallows

Strawberry string Licorice

Directions:

1) prepare cupcakes. When they are cool enough to handle, spread some light green icing over the top of each cupcake. Set aside.

2) cut the marshmallows in half and place them on top of the icing. These will be for the eyes. Both pieces will be close together. Add a small dot of chocolate icing onto the marshmallows. The frogs now have eyes!

3) for the mouth we cut strawberry string licorice into little pieces and shaped them into smiles.

And that’s it!

So simple and adorable!

Oh, and the whole time Abner was sniffing around the kitchen like we were making cupcakes all for her! Nice try Abner. 😛
